Babies are smiling

dreamsharkTwins are still growing like weeds, lifting up their heads, and waving their arms and legs around as expected for their chronological age. The one area where they have shown a little delay is that First Smile. Typically that happens at about 6 weeks. But the boys were approaching 12 weeks when I arrived on Tuesday and still no smiles. Until Gramma got there, anyway. The very first night I got a sequence of spooky looking baby smiles out of Harris, repeated enough times that I was able to get photographic proof.
The next day, Leo smiled at me too. Note that if you use the "adjusted age" often suggested for preemies, they are exactly on schedule. But still discouraging for the parents who eagerly await that first big psychic reward. Amber was a little miffed that after all she'd done for them they saved their first smiles for baby tourist Gramma. *heh*
