It's somebody in Ramsey County who was exposed on an unnamed cruise ship with "a known COVID-19 case." I hadn't realized until a couple of days ago that there was more than one such ship. I hope this is the same one currently in limbo off the coast of California, because if not there must have been at least 3 plague ships. Damn. I wonder when (if) the former passengers of those ships learned about it? That guy who died in California a few days ago - did he even know he was in danger?
The good news is... it's no mystery where the Minnesota case came from, so no reason to believe that the virus has been circulating locally for the past 6 weeks. On the downside.... "the person began to develop symptoms on Feb 25." Let's hope that he/she has been staying home for the last 10 days, not wandering around exposing people. I guess we'll find out in about 2 weeks.
The timing is not great for Minicon. Conventions are being cancelled around the country It's hard to grasp how fast this is happening. It's only been 2 weeks since the virus hit that Seattle nursing home and Washington state realized they had a "community spread" problem. Now they are cancelling large public gatherings. It really could happen here.
