Eeek. The chives are blooming. Should I cut them off?

Not if you want flowers is my guess.

I don't actually know, it's probably best to trust the University of Google.

You can stir-fry them, but I just leave mine, and am not overrun with chives. Then again, I wouldn't mind if I were. P.

The original Rainbow Restaurant sometimes had a dish with chive blossoms in it, but they never actually had any to cook.

I thought you might be worried about the amazing procreative capacities of alliums. If you don't cut off the flowers, they'll go to seed. However, if you do at this point, they will probably -- not certainly -- bloom again.

Letting your chives flower is fine, but after they've bloomed cut them off so they don't go to seed which slows their growth. I'm enjoying a bit of cottage cheese right now with some freshly cut chives from our chive patch in our back yard. Working from home definitely has its perks.
