Oh yeah - we were on TV!

A few nights before Halloween, WCCO did a little puff piece on Halloween traditions featuring a nice montage of local Halloween displays in the background. Our Dream Park display starts showing up about halfway through. You can see a nice array of Richard's hand-carved foam pumpkins and this year's new Devil Cat inflatable behind the anchor as she delivers random factoids about Halloween.

In unrelated news, Halloween this year was on a Saturday, a Blue Moon, the night that we said goodbye to Daylight Savings time, and our 40th wedding anniversary!

I didn't know you got married on Halloween. Of course you did!

You have an excellent excuse for not remembering it. Thorin was a babe in arms at the wedding, so wherever you were at the time you must have been similarly sized.

I would have been fine with a Justice of the Peace wedding at City Hall (we were just getting married for the health insurance anyway). But Richard had two conditions: 1) He wouldn't wear a ring and 2) we had to have a big party. Since Halloween was his favorite holiday even back then, he suggested a Halloween party.

I was a fetus, as it turns out. But I can sometimes remember people's wedding dates even if I wasn't there. :-)
