Since Richard's usual full blown lighting extravanga doesn't really work with such a scrawny tree, he decided to leave the usual display in storage and dig out the old retired decorations for a Throwback Tree. I realize this may not look like minimally decorated tree to most people, but trust me. It is.

It is pretty festive, though!

I am glad to see a bird. I love the birds. Though some of them are made of cloth, if I'm not just hallucinating wrong memories.

Ooh, a whole string of bluebird lights!

When I'd come to a party at your house when the tree was up I'd go around and try to locate all the birds. Pretty sure I missed some. But they are so great.

The one tiny feathered bird seems very boonful and lucky.

We continue to love driving by each week to see the lights. My children would like Richard to know they think he's brilliant. We especially love the "light wands".
