We had 45 signed in attendees, far more than I dared to hope. We had expected the party to be split between inside and outside, but it turned out that almost everybody wanted to be outside. Weather was splendid and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I can't help but think that one reason the party was so successful was because there was no gaming (although there was space set aside for that inside). I know I spent significant time talking to people who otherwise would have been huddled around a gaming table, so from my point of view that was an improvement. But with that turnout it would have been a great success either way.

Thanks to all who contributed to the fun with your presence. I hope this will clear the spillways for more meetings this summer - indoor, outdoor, or both. If you are feeling inspired to host a meeting at your home or a picnic meeting in August, please let your president know.

Yes it was! Your yard is a great party environment, and you and Richard are great hosts!

That looks just as happy as you make it sound - I'm glad it went well. I take it the heat wasn't too bad?

Lower humidity, as always, can make a crucial difference, can't it?
