Heading out for Afton

dreamsharkHeading to Afton State Park (in Hastings, more or less) to meet up with a loosely organized group of Minnstf members. We're staying over one night in a camper cabin.
This is less than an hour drive, and our stay is going to be 30 hours at the most, yet it somehow took me two days of hard labor to get packed for it. This is despite, or maybe because of, a multitude of similar but longer trips last summer. I sorted through old camping stuff and got a whole routine set up - I knew what bedding to take and where it was stored, had a nice camping kitchen packed, and so on. Somehow over the winter everything drifted away to attic, garage and basement and it was kind of a project to get it back together and cleaned up. Fortunately I made copious notes. This will be a good test to see what I forgot.
If you want to join us, it's not too late. Emily has reserved Group Camp #1, and there are campsites left. Or you can come for the day/evening. It's really close.
