Hello, Maple, Elm and Alder (10.1)

In this case, the ever-enthusiastic silver maple. Which doesn't seem to be bothering my nose this year, but Holy Cow are my eyes itching! Nose is actually much better than 2 weeks ago (juniper/poplar presumably).

I'm noticing a bit of snuffiness myself today, thanks in part to the strong southwesterly winds I'm sure.

I do love how I can pick out all the maple trees right now because they're blooming in a distinctive manner, and you can also see their growth habit well.

My nose doesn't mind them at all, but boy howdy did it HATE the juniper.

Are the boulevard maples blooming at all? The ones in front of our house are, I think, either Norway or Sugar Maples and I see some little buds but nothing that looks like flowers.

Do you know if your pollen nemesis is Juniper or Poplar? I'm pretty sure that I am deeply allergic to Juniper because of my experience in a monoculture community in Arizona. But for all I know I could be allergic to poplar too.
