Finally caught a cold

... inconveniently while visiting in Portland. It is very much like COVID except with less sore throat (and 2 negative COVID tests), Just sick enough to feel sorry for myself, but if the cough stays where it is in the upper respiratory it will end up in the rear view mirror as a mild one. But I am prone to bronchitis and post-viral asthma with fall colds, so not out of the woods yet. COVID isn't the only disease with post-viral sequelae. 

Should have known this would happen as soon as I posted about not having a cold for 3+ years.

Read up on the Huff Cough, if you don't already know it. Easy to do, and can keep your lungs more clear than otherwise.

Hmm. It sounds like... pretty much nothing. And with no actual chest congestion, that's how it feels. But if I do get a chest cough I'll revisit it. Thanks.

I flew out on Tuesday, noticed the telltale sore throat starting up late Friday evening. So I could have caught it in the airport. Or I might have picked it up on Wednesday when I took Lena shopping, or from the kids. But I masked in the airport (N95), and none of the kids seem sick. Amber says that the boys have been "a little snotty" but I haven't noticed it. Probably one of those cold viruses that is so endemic in households with kids that most of the residents barely get symptoms any more.
