Just like buying a new car, only cheaper

The weather turned so unexpectedly pleasant this afternoon that I had to think of something to do outside. In desperation I decided to vacuum out the car. When you only do this every couple of years, it becomes a rather Herculean task, involving not only a large shop vac but 3 or 4 different vacuum attachments, soapy water and old sponges. The extra-long upholstery/corner attachment works really well for those hard to reach spots around the seats. My goodness, but the car looks good now! I was so inspired I put on the new windshield wiper blades I bought a few months ago, and I'm seriously considering actually installing the car compass I picked up last time I was in Target.

Good work! Now I'm feeling guilty for the state of my car. Maybe I'll gather up some of the actual garbage in back...
