I've really been enjoying my Laptop Lunch kit. It makes packing a lunch fun, trying to fill all the little containers in a healthy and esthetic manner. And it's true - the other kids think it's cool! Whenever I eat in the lunchroom instead of carrying my food back to my desk somebody stops to admire my kit. That's last Monday's lunch in my userpic, snapped with my snazzy new camera phone. It was a good lunch, although with maybe a little too much brown in it to be prefectly photogenic.

My worries about the containers being too small were silly. If you use all the containers there's more than enough room for an adult lunch. In fact, I often can't eat it all at once and have food left for an afternoon snack. The only problem is LL's stupid idea of only including one lidded container in the set. Dumb dumb dumb. It turns out that their concept is partly correct. Most of the time a lunch only includes one "wet food." But frequently the gloppy food is the one you want to put in one of the smaller containers, like yogurt or applesauce. If they had included a lid for one of the 3" x 4" containers as well as the larger lid, this set would be darned near perfect.

Show me your favorite lunches! If you have a Laptop Lunch Box or another cool bento box, take a picture and post it as a comment here. I'm looking for inspiration.

There is also a Flickr group for bento boxes, here, and many people there are using Laptop Lunchboxes.
