A teeny tiny bit of good news

For people in older houses anyway. If you have the kind of toilet paper holder that is set into the tile wall you may have noticed that all the major tp manufacturers have stopped making anything but Mega rolls, which DONT FIT. WTF???

Turns out there is a solution: this little extender. You can get one free from Charmin if you have a throwaway email address to give them for the required spam signup. Or you can just buy one for about $8 on Amazon. Seems to work!

That is smart of Charmin'.

Our house is either not that old or was not (being rental property) that fancy, but I will just note that we use flimsy cheap toilet paper because of the old plumbing, and Essential Everyday still makes double rolls. I am kind of allergic to most major manufacturers because I have hated their ads since childhood. (Not sure who supplies EE's paper; it might be one of those manufacturers anyway.)

Neat. Erin installed a partially recessed TP holder in her bathroom but it's a newer, bigger one. But if we ever opt for the super-duper sized roll it's good to know she can get an extender.

Good to know, thanks. The in-wall thingy of this house (built 1962) barely fits the extra large roll from Costco. Phew.
