I wish I were in Arizona

dreamsharkGod, it's nasty out there. Just above freezing, nothing happening except a chill breeze, and the very air is battleship gray. I hate this time of year.
It occurred to me today that I now have a dear old mother living in a Very. Sunny. Clime. I wonder if it's too late to start looking for Thanksgiving plane fares to Arizona. I've never flown at Thanksgiving - is it too crowded and expensive to be worth the trouble? Anybody got tips on flying home for Thanksgiving?
