Nothing is working.

Everything I do just seems to lead to something that needs to be done over.

• The roofer we decided on to do our roof never called back to schedule the job, and now it's too late for this year.


• The beautiful new keyboard I bought to replace the one with the bbbbbarely working bb key doesn't fit in my keyboard drawer.
  
• And after I finally decided to purchase 8 sessions with a personal trainer at my health club.... the trainer I signed the contract with seems to have left the club's employ.

All of these decisions, trivial though they may be in the larger picture, involved all sorts of dithering and procrastinating and more dithering. Now I just need to do it all over again.

for house projects, angie's list is a lifesaver. www.angieslist.com.

i do not remember if i used angie's list to find my roofers, but i used iver h. carlson and sons (http://www.iverhcarlson.com/) to redo my roof when i moved into this house. it's, um, remarkably rooflike. it's been a year and a half and it seems fine so far.

Outside or in? I bought new skates last year and hardly got a chance to use them before everything turned slushy (in FEBRUARY, fer crissake).

I've had periods of time, from an afternoon to a week or two, that were like that. J's and my saying for times like this has long been some variant or other of "Being pecked to death by birds takes longer than being eaten by an alligator, but you're still dead."
