I bought a new battery on Thursday. This is noteworthy only because as far as I can remember this is the first time in over 40 years of driving and countless cars, that I have bought a new battery without the old one going dead. Being proactive about something like that is so out of character that I am unsettled by it. I keep wandering if I did the right thing, throwing away a battery that could still take a charge.
