I Did Go Skating

and it doesn't seem to have done me any harm. It was lovely out. Reports of 19mph winds were greatly exaggerated.

I went skating today, too. Pat and I went to the Centennial Lakes area this morning. It was definitely more pleasant skating with the wind than against it, but it was a fine day for skating.

Hey, we should have coordinated! Usually it's kind of a wind tunnel down there, but by 4pm the wind must have died down. Anyway, I didn't notice much wind. Isn't the warming house great?

The warming house is nice, but the benches by the sides of the lake are great. And the whole area is so nice and large, even if the further-out parts aren't groomed as well.

Definitely worth doing. I think I'll have to buy a new pair of skates, though -- I couldn't find my old ones, and the rental ones really needed sharpening.
