I'm not sure I would have left work early if I hadn't had an appointment for a haircut, but I'm sure glad I decided to go on home from there. The streets are really really really slippery, the snow squalls are bringing transient whiteout conditions with them, and the snow just keeps coming. It's a beautiful snowfall, clinging to the trees and all, but not a good time to be on the road.

I think I'm with you

yeah, it's only snow. But right now I am very, very glad that my way of life (when Louie and I aren't taking a road trip, or when I'm heading to a gig) involves leaning on the bus drivers. By and large, the bus drivers will get me home okay, even if it's really cold, windy or snowy out. So I'll work out my full shift today and hop a bus. And unless the bus spins out or goes in the ditch (quite unlikely, with this town's competent drivers) I won't have anything else to report, and this will be a good thing.

I'm glad to hear you made it home. This doesn't look like weather I'd want to drive around in.

Must I?

I'm reading this at work... but in Portland it is only sprinkling (although Wednesday there was an inch of white stuff when we woke up!)
