Best tree ever! (Throwback Thursday)

Since Richard's usual full blown lighting extravanga doesn't really work with such a scrawny tree, he decided to leave the usual display in storage and dig out the old retired decorations for a Throwback Tree. I realize this may not look like minimally decorated tree to most people, but trust me. It is.

The island of misfit decorations

I can see why we stopped using these decorations. Because most of them are ridiculous . Like this nice skiffy saucer, which weighs so much that it can only be hung within two inches of the trunk, where it would be invisible on a normal tree.

Most of the rest of these are just too big to fit on a tree that doesn't have a lot of gaping empty spaces.
