Trying to catch up... well, at least read the last few days of friends entries. Good heavens, is every single person on my friends list sick? Is this in some way related to the great Flu Vaccine Shortage, or is this just what happens every winter? I'm curious to see if the lack of flu vaccine actually translates to more sick people nationwide. I'm skeptical myself. I have a hard time believing than anybody except high-risk populations needs flu shots. But I could be wrong.

I had a cold last week myself (poorly timed to coincide with my last week at work and my big job interview), but it's just a cold, no more no less. I don't get flu shots anyway, since I don't get influenza. But I don't usually get a cold this time of year at all; maybe there are more sick people than usual passing germs around. What do you folks think?

I haven't been sick yet this winter, nor has anyone else in the family, except that R had an upper-respiratory thing that included a cough. No one in the family even caught it from her. Hoping it continues that way . . .
